Third Person Mod

Third Person Mod

Postby deathfinderxx » Thu Nov 27, 2008 10:08 pm

Ok all you do is press the Home button to turn on or off the 3rd person view. I also adjusted it so its easyer to see and aim. Created by me Deathfinderxx-
//This is regulare 3rd person view
Image
http://www.geocities.com/deathfinderxx/3rdpersonview.zip
//This is the Resident Evil 4 type of view
Image
http://www.geocities.com/deathfinderxx/re4view.zip
Updated-
1.Added another version which is Resident Evil 4 type of view
2.Camera motion, made it react better.

for both use the same instructions and use the Home button to toggle.
instructions:
1.unzip
2.put autoexec.cfg into l4d cfg folder
3.while ingame just press the "Home" button and it will activate or deactivate thirdperson.
//For both views
http://www.geocities.com/deathfinderxx/bothviews.zip
1. Just use HOME to toggle through the views.
(for some reeason you will have to hit the button acouple of times, but this will work!)
I hope you all like this took me some time to get it took work nicely rather then crappy :)

Do you need cheats enabled for this?

EDIT:
Can you create a menu in-game that enables an admin to choose from a list of server-side commands (like director_force_panic_event 1) to make a server a little more fun.

At the moment, I need to enabled cheats, then run the command. Mani Admin PLugin could enable noclip without enabling cheats. Very interested in how this was achieved.

Nice work. Could you make an over the shoulder one like RE4 since the built in one jacks up the aiming. >.<

Its about 10 commands in one bind that adjusts and fixes somethings of the 3rd person its more of a script. But it does all 10 things in one button and allows you to toggle it off and on.

Thanks, I like the RE4 style one better.

Now, if only the whole character would turn with the crosshair and not just their head. :o

The aiming on the RE4 one is better in the sense of aiming. So Im gonna touch up the 3rd person so it aim's alittle better. But I love the Regulare 3rd person one, because you can see alot more rather then so little.

Its the little thing when u press z or x, that little voice thingy. Its making me fustrated because i got it mostly recoded but the bind isnt working so when I press P its not doing anything. So its not poping up and im trying to find someone with alittle moding experience but cant find anymore.

I gave this one a try and it worked like a charm.

is there any way to make it not just togle on and off but also between the 2 3rd person views? If not aguess you can just bind the second one to a different button than the home button.
