[WiP] Die Screaming campaign - 1.0 released

[WiP] Die Screaming campaign - 1.0 released

The campaign is five maps, aiming to be as solid a gameplay experience as the originals. You'll start off in residential backyards, make your way through the city eventually reaching the back woods finale which has a whole bunch of different places for you to make your stand. I've worked hard to try to create something that's different, and I think I've succeeded in doing that without straying too far from the game we all love.

Version 1.0 is ready for you, with all texture bugs fixed (Valve's fault, not mine), the train on map04 is easier to figure out as is the finale escape-vehicle pick up point and I've fixed up the finale radio. There is also still no poster, I just figure hell with it, it's still not working and you only see it once anyways. Let me know if any other major bugs pop up.

A couple new issues have been pointed out:

- Map04 It totally slipped my mind to put something in that indicates all the survivors need to be in the front train car to get it to move. Dumb move on my part, sorry.

- Some people have reported missing textures but I don't know how this can be as I've only used stock textures and the mod contains no new assets of any kind.

- Map05 The escape vehicle van picks you up on the road, but I haven't figured out the best way to indicate that yet. Hmmm, I could just put a bunch of spotlights shining on the ground, that should tell players something important happens there.

I've posted the source files for the complete campaign for anyone who wishes to help finish the campaign (there isn't much left to do), or to use in other projects. If you do use anything I've created please give credit where it is due. Thanks in advance to anyone wishing to help.

I havn't tried your campaign yet. I just thought I would say that it is cool of you to release the source. That is a great help to other mappers.

I personally like the thought of other people keeping the project (or even just chunks of it) alive in other projects. Now if I could just find someone to finish it off, or finish it myself in a couple weeks when things settle down here in real life.

Thanks Redspike, I'm going to try to get it all finished up this weekend. I know how I'll fix everything that's wrong, now all that's left is to do it. :-)
