The idea of a Left 4 Dead movie has been discussed on various forums and websites. Creating a movie about a game is a very tricky thing and the Left 4 Dead fans are very sceptical about it. They don't want a Left 4 Dead Movie that will turn out to be as disappointing as Doom or Aliens vs Predator. This time though, it's being created by hardcore Left 4 Dead fans and we think they have the cojones to actually pull this off!
A bunch of die-hard Left 4 Dead fans, who happen to be independant film makers, are putting their team, scripts and gear together to create Left 4 Dead, the Movie. So far, the only thing they have released is the movie poster. From what you can see here,it looks dow-right creepy with the witch sitting, crying right in the path of a very creepy looking forest.
"Left 4 Dead the Movie" is the first serious project that want to realize a movie based on the hit videogame from Valve: Left 4 Dead.
This is a non profit project and overall it is a fan movie, it is not connected to Valve Software for now. This doesn't mean that it will be a low quality product.
We are all moved from a strong passion for cinema, film-making and videogames. All those who are working on this project have skills in various fields that hopefully will let us to realize a good product, with a professional profile.
Our intention is to promote ourself as international artists, and to satisfy every fan who have been waiting for something like this since the game came out.
It's not the first time that a fan movie grew enough to become something more important, even without large resources or funds.
